Hot Cross Bun Donuts

I love hot cross buns and I love healthy donuts so combine the two and I’m the happiest girl in the world!

These donuts are light and fluffy with all the flavours you’d expect from a hot cross bun. I topped them with melted biscoff and white chocolate which gives them such an amazing sweetness!

Ingredients
*makes 6 donuts

  • 80g oats
  • 210g vanilla yogurt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 50g sultanas
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon (around 1-2 tsp depending on how much you like cinnamon)
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • Few sprays of oil for the donut mould

Toppings

  • 6 tbsp melted biscoff
  • 50g melted white chocolate
  • Chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180° degrees
  2. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl mixing well between each ingredient you add
  3. Spray the donut mould with oil
  4. Spoon the mixture into the donut mould
  5. Pop in the oven for 15-20 mins (until a toothpick comes out clean)
  6. Leave to cool
  7. Dunk them into the biscoff
  8. Pop in the fridge to harden
  9. Draw on the white lines using the white chocolate (you need melted but not runny white chocolate for this so let it cool a bit before using it)
  10. Pop back in the fridge to harden

Enjoy!!
