Brotherhood of the World Blogger Award

Awards are a wonderful way for the blogging community to recognise and show support for each other’s hard work and for people to find new and exciting blogs that they can follow and read.

Questions from Sarah and my answers

“What was it that inspired you to start writing a blog?”

I love sharing my passion for living a healthy lifestyle and sharing recipes with anyone who will listen and one day a couple of years ago, I thought, ‘why not start writing a blog where I can share these things with a wider audience than just my friends and family’! And so happy healthy Tash was born 🙂

“Besides blogging/writing, do you have any other creative outlets (i.e. singer, actor, etc)?”

No unfortunately not, I would love to be able to sing but I sound like I’m in pain so I try not to do that too often unless there is a lot of Prosecco involved.

“If you were given the power to change one thing in the entire world, what would it be and why?”

That’s a tough question! Just one thing! There are so many. OK – one thing.

I would take remove all evil and wrong doing from the world!

It makes me so sad watching the news and hearing what some people are capable of doing to each other, animals and the planet, I literally can’t watch it anymore. There is too much evil in this world – I would definitely take that away.

“Do you consider your blog “a job”? Why or why not?”

No, I write my blog because I am passionate about living a healthy life and I really enjoy sharing that with people.

“You’ve been given magical powers. What is your speciality?”

Definitely time travel! I am a big history nerd. Imagine being able to travel back in time to all the different ages and seeing what it really felt like being part of the world in those times.

“Out of all of your blog posts, which one is your favourite and why?”

Probably My Journey to Happy Healthy Tash as it is the most personal one and shows that no matter where you are in your life right now, you can change it and be whoever you want to be.

“Is the glass half empty or half full?”

Always full, full, full. I am an optimist and a positive person. I think you have to be in this world.

“You have been given the opportunity to live on Mars. You can only take 5 things with you. What do you choose?”

My hubby, my cat, my phone, an infinite supply of avocado and my workout gear! 😉

“What is the best piece of advice anyone has ever given you?”

‘Perfection is paralysis’.

I am a perfectionist and can easily spend way too much time dithering over something I am trying to perfect. Reminding myself of those wise words; ‘perfection is paralysis’ stops me procrastinating over something for too long. This applies to my blog and all aspects of my life.

“What is your favourite memory from when you were a child?”

*Warning – soppy content coming your way*

Meeting my (now) hubby at the tender age of 9 ❤

He is 3 years older than me and lived 7 doors (yes I counted) down the road from me when I moved to Reading from Cornwall. He was our paperboy and I had a major crush on him. I named my Ken doll (from Barbie and Ken) Simon after him lol!

From the moment we met, we had a special connection. He would pick my little sister and I up when he drove past us walking home from school and drop us at our front door and you can imagine how that made my day! I wouldn’t stop smiling until I fell asleep on those days.

As teenagers, my friends and I would follow him and his friend walking home from school and I nicknamed him ‘Peachy’ because he has a peachy bum! And don’t forget, I lived up the road from him… there was no stalking involved! 😉

We were really good friends for many years until we lost contact in my early 20’s when he moved up North (he was in the Army at the time). He found me via Facebook 7 years later, (back in 2008), we were engaged 6 months later and married 18 months after that and he truly is my whole world. No matter what we go through in life, he is right by my side. We are best friends and I couldn’t imagine my life without him.

He is my own personal fairy-tale come true ❤
