Apple, Cinnamon & Raisin Protein Porridge

This breakfast has a lovely Autumnal feel – fresh juicy apples, cinnamon spices and chewy raisins make it a really warming and healthy breakfast πŸ™‚

IngredientsΒ 

Per Person

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1-1.5 cups milk of your choice (I used semi-skimmed)
  • 1-2 tsp cinnamon depending on how strong you want the flavour
  • 1 tbsp organic whey protein – I likeΒ this one
  • 1Β grated apple
  • Small handful raisins
  • A few cashew nuts
  • A few sunflower and pumpkin seeds
  • A few coconut chips

Directions

  1. Heat the milk in a saucepan on the hob until simmering
  2. Add 1 tsp of cinnamon spice to the milk (or 0.5 tsp if only using 1 tsp for the recipe) and mix well
  3. Add the protein powder into the milk and mix it up
  4. Add the oats (amend the amount to make the consistency to your liking) and stir well
  5. Pour the oats into a bowl
  6. Pop the grated apple on top
  7. Sprinkle the raisins, coconut chips, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds & cashew nuts
  8. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon on top
