This breakfast has a lovely Autumnal feel – fresh juicy apples, cinnamon spices and chewy raisins make it a really warming and healthy breakfast 🙂
Ingredients
Per Person
- 1 cup oats
- 1-1.5 cups milk of your choice (I used semi-skimmed)
- 1-2 tsp cinnamon depending on how strong you want the flavour
- 1 tbsp organic whey protein – I like this one
- 1 grated apple
- Small handful raisins
- A few cashew nuts
- A few sunflower and pumpkin seeds
- A few coconut chips
Directions
- Heat the milk in a saucepan on the hob until simmering
- Add 1 tsp of cinnamon spice to the milk (or 0.5 tsp if only using 1 tsp for the recipe) and mix well
- Add the protein powder into the milk and mix it up
- Add the oats (amend the amount to make the consistency to your liking) and stir well
- Pour the oats into a bowl
- Pop the grated apple on top
- Sprinkle the raisins, coconut chips, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds & cashew nuts
- Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon on top
