On a recent trip to visit family in Newquay, hubs and I decided we wanted to take my Nonna & cousin Maria out for lunch. Nonna is a typical loving Italian grandmother and she is the absolute centre of our family but she. does. not. STOP. Ever. She works in the family chippy, cooks for everyone and hosts visiting family all year long. So, we wanted to do something nice for her 🙂 She is one very special lady ❤

We told her (you can’t ask her if she wants to – she’ll just say no lol), that we were taking her out for lunch and asked what she wanted to eat. By now, anyone that knows her knows the answer will always be PIZZA! LOL! She loves her pizza 😀
There are a lot of restaurants in Newquay but I had pictured us sitting in a nice restaurant overlooking one of the many beautiful beaches… and so the search began for the perfect spot.
I typed ‘pizza restaurant in Newquay’ into Google (as you do these days) and was pleasantly surprised when ‘The Stable’ came up as one of the top results and after a brief browse of their website, I was thrilled to see that it ticked all of the boxes.
The restaurant serves pizza along with other food The Stable Menu and has incredible views looking out over Fistral Beach – one of the most popular beaches in Newquay.

I reserved us a table and upon arrival, we were greeted at the door by friendly waitresses who guided us straight to our table 🙂 A really lovely welcome!
You couldn’t miss the huge windows at the back of the restaurant overlooking the beach with magnificent views of the sea when you walk in…perfect 🙂 The restaurant was spacious with lots of room between the tables. It was just as I had imagined.

Hubby went off to park the car and even though there is a car park right outside the restaurant, it was super busy (July… go figure 😉 ) so he had to park 5 minutes up the road and walk along the coastline which was not a big deal. There are plenty of car parks in Newquay within minutes of each other and a walk along the coastline is never a bad idea ❤
We ordered pizza and it arrived really quickly and was delicious! All of their pizza’s are made on sourdough bases which is easier to digest that most other bread options. My choice (pictured below) is the goats cheese and caramelized onion pizza and it comes topped with roasted hazelnuts…O.M.G – what a perfect combination!

The atmosphere of the restaurant has a typical Cornwall relaxed and laid back vibe which is just lovely. There are tables outside on a balcony so you can opt to sit outside on a lovely warm sunny day or of course, if you are just feeling brave on a cold day.
This is a perfect venue for both Summer and Winter. I said to my family on the day that I could sit there for hours on a Winters day watching the tides from a cosy and warm spot beside the fire… so I think we will definitely head back again once Summer is over.
The walk back to the car along the coastline was needed after all the pizza and the views were breathtaking…I would recommend the walk even if you manage to park your car right outside the restaurant 🙂

Oh and Nonna managed to get hubby in a photo & I managed to get my cousin in one!! Miracles do happen! ❤

If you are ever looking for a restaurant in the area… I highly recommend trying this one. A lovely venue, attentive & friendly staff, beautiful views & fantastic food. What more could you want? ❤
With love, Tash ❤
