Warming Beef Casserole


Who doesn’t love a hearty warming beef casserole? This recipe is so easy to make, the preparation time is mere minutes and then it cooks away in the oven slowly and wafts this amazing aroma around your house…mmmm home cooked food 🙂


  • Lean diced beef
  • Carrots
  • Onions
  • Mushrooms
  • Colmans beef casserole mix
  • English mustard
  • Beef oxo cube
  • Coconut oil
  • Peas
  • French beans
  • Parsley
  • Butter – 1 tsp

Make it

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees
  2. Brown the onions and mushrooms in the coconut oil, remove and pop in the casserole dish
  3. Brown the diced beef in the coconut oil
  4. Sprinkle an oxo cube on the beef
  5. Stir a tsp of English mustard into the beef
  6. Pop the beef into the casserole dish and mix in the onions and mushrooms
  7. Peel and chop the carrot (as much as you want) and add to the casserole dish
  8. Boil the kettle and mix the sachet of colmans beef casserole in a jug (follow the instructions on the packet for amount guidelines), finally pouring into the casserole dish
  9. Pop the casserole dish into the oven for 1.5-3 hours (or longer if needed) stirring occasionally and keeping an eye on it
  10. 15 minutes before serving the casserole, steam french beans and peas for 10 minutes and then add to a pan with tsp of butter and some chopped parsley
  11. Serve together
